The castle has remarkably well-preserved furniture and interior fittings. It also served as an inspiration to the cartoonist Hergé, who called it the château de Moulinsart (Marlinspike Hall) in Tintin’s adventures. Cheverny is open to the public and visitors can enjoy all the splendour and delights of castle life.
