The camp site sits at the foot of the medieval town of Loches, a town of Art and History and unquestionably one of the "most beautiful small sites in France", which you can explore along the path that starts at the entrance to the camp site and follows the river. You will but admire the town intra-muros, with its ramparts and pedestrian thoroughfares, be delighted by the traditional twice-weekly markets, and be sorry to leave so soon.
